Spray or Swish®??

Veggie Wash works to safely and effectively remove wax, soil and agricultural chemicals from nearly all types of produce.

Firm produce should be sprayed thoroughly with Veggie Wash, rubbed with the hand for 20-30 seconds, and then rinsed thoroughly with water before eating. Softer or less manageable produce can be "swished" (dipped, agitated and rinsed) in a diluted mixture of Veggie Wash and water (approximately 1/4 cup Wash to 1 gallon of water).

Roll the mouse over each item below to learn if it should be sprayed or swished.

Tomatos = SPRAY

Broccoli = SWISH

Potatoes = SPRAY

Green Peppers = SPRAY

Mushrooms = No

Grapes = SPRAY

Oranges = SPRAY

Eggplant = SPRAY

Leafy Greens = SPRAY

Spray firm produce (like apples and tomatoes) thoroughly with Veggie Wash, rub for 20-30 seconds, and rinse thoroughly with water before eating.

Sometimes the most beautiful produce, like colorful peppers, have the heaviest wax coatings. This increases the likelihood of chemical and other residues. Wash peppers and other waxy items thoroughly with Veggie Wash to avoid unwanted substances.

Broccoli and leafy greens should be "swished" (dipped, agitated and rinsed) in a diluted mixture of Veggie Wash and water (approximately 1/4 cup Wash to 1 gallon of water).

Mushrooms are highly porous and will absorb and retain the taste of Veggie Wash. While it will not harm you to do so, we do not recommend using Veggie Wash on mushrooms.
